SIGNS of an Apostle vs. MARKS of an Apostle

SO, YOU WANT TO BE AN APOSTLE?

After reading this, you may change your mind about wanting to be an apostle.  All FALSE APOSTLES claim to have the SIGNS of an apostle, but not one is willing, or able to display the MARKS of an apostle.  Why does EZEKIEL3 make such a fuss about FALSE APOSTLES you ask?  Answer: We are in good company with Jesus Christ our Lord and Paul the last apostle in bringing this damnable heresy to your attention.

I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear THEM WHICH ARE EVIL: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:  Rev. 2:2

For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.  And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.  Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works. 2Cor. 11:13-15

There you have it in God’s own words.  There are false apostles, and we will take a look at where these false apostles are lacking.  Acts chapters 2, 4, and 5 give account of signs being done in the name of Jesus Christ after his death, burial, and resurrection.  False apostles today claim to have that same apostolic power.  Modern media makes it easy for these false apostles to convince Bible ignorant people they are apostles with  demonstrations of  false healings, fake miracles, Charismatic soothsaying and etc.  Strange isn’t it that NONE of these false apostles have been able or willing to duplicate the MARKS of an apostle!  Let’s take a look at the marks of an apostle, and perhaps find out why these ministers of Satan do not want to duplicate them.

Continuing on in 2Cor. 11 we not only have the warning about false apostles but we have the marks of a genuine apostle, Are they (the FALSE APOSTLES) ministers of Christ?…I am more; in labours more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths oft.  Of Jews five times received I forty stripes save one.  Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was stoned, thrice suffered shipwreck, a night and a day have I been in the deep; In journeyings often, in perils of robbers, in perils of my own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils of the sea, in perils among false brethren; In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness…2Cor. Chapter 11 , (WORDS IN ( ) ARE MINE), and may I humbly suggest after assimilating these marks that you read the entire eleventh chapter of 2Cor. to get a better understanding  of the MARKS OF AN APOSTLE.

One can easily see how ministers of Satan are anxious to fake false healings and miracles to lift themselves into a place where they can collect great revenues.  But, not one  of these FALSE APOSTLES  is willing to bear the marks of an apostle!  I have worked for the past seven going on eight years as a street preacher from Washington, D.C. to California and from Florida to  New York.  I preached to tens and tens of thousands the Gospel of my Lord Jesus Christ.  In this process I’ve been threatened with jail, received physical threats, been kicked in the groin, hit, spit upon, pushed and otherwise harassed and in no way compare my minor persecutions to what the apostles of the New Testament endured.  And I would in no way ever consider assuming the title APOSTLE based   on the work I have done.  So, I ask how can anyone in good conscience and good standing with my Lord Jesus Christ claim that God-given title for themselves in light of the way they live?  These deceitful FALSE APOSTLES live in luxury by preaching a prosperity gospel and have no right to claim the title given to those used to establish the church of Jesus Christ our Lord.  Hardship and persecution are words not even remotely connected with the so-called ministries of these FALSE APOSTLES.  The silly spiritual dolts who think they are apostles will probably consider this Biblical post a MARK of their unwarranted title of apostle.  Selah.

EZEKIEL 3 is extremely salty and has not lost any savor found in the AV1611 Holy Bible. If you are looking for compromise, this site is not for you! This site's objective is to exalt the Lord Jesus Christ and to destroy false doctrines and expose false teachers. EZEKIEL3 makes no apologies to anyone who opposes the Gospel of Jesus Christ, "Christian" or otherwise. Deal with it!

That last statement sums it up. We are the nuts you need to find in order to straighten out your twisted theology.

Larry McCune, your theo-logic here is very bad. First, you are importing subjective views of human phenomenology (the mind, thoughts, word) into our analogic contemplation of the divine reality. This will not do. Because God is distinct from creation as the Creator, creaturely categories cannot be used to define him totally. In other words, it is God’s nature that defines what it means for him to be Word (Logos), and we know him by the term “Word” only by imperfect analogy. Here you seem to equate human thoughts, words, and propositions with divine realities in a one-to-one correlation, a fallacious misunderstanding of both theology and language that both you and Ray seem to be continuously asserting despite these arguments being REPEATEDLY disproven and dismantled.

I may be a “squirrel,” but you guys, obstinately holding on to your fanatical worship of the KJV with no regard for correction, logic, reason, or Scripture, are the “nuts.”

If thought is expressed in words, then to know the mind of God we must know his Word. It has been very popular in the 20th century to hold any version that comes along with the same veneration and belief as the King James Bible. Words are of extreme importance, Why? we are suppose to live by EVERY WORD for God used the language of men to express Himself… first in the language of the Hebrew nation, then in the Aramaic and Greek of the New Testament. That language has been translated into almost every language on earth, and it is remarkable that each rendering has remained as close to the original autographs as it has.
Because God only dealt with one nation in the Old Testament, the language of that people was used, but when we come to the New Testament we find that there was a language in use that was as close to being universal as any language had ever been, and that language is Greek. I said all that to say this God breaths through man…
Job 32:8 But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.

We will see how being your own final authority works out for you…
Ray looks like that squirrel has lost his nut again .LOL

Not really. Did you skip the part where I said this is the basics? Linguistics 101, pretty much.

  5. admin says:

    That’s deep, really really deep.

  6. h.gual says:

Sin doesn’t necessarily invalidate one’s work. David was an adulterer and a murderer, and he wrote the Psalms. Paul was a persecutor and murderer, and he wrote much of the New Testament.

“Surely reason would tell us that every version that has been printed cannot be God’s Word!” Nope. That’s a logical fallacy based in a basic and fundamental misunderstanding of how languages work. Languages are semiotic, pointing to a reality beyond themselves, as such the reality does not rest in the words alone. Christ is the Word; the Bible are the words about that Word. We don’t assign ultimacy to the Bible for the same reason we don’t assign ultimacy to baptism – the reality communicated in the sign is Christological.

Languages as signs have variations and fluidity based on time, location, culture, etc. The point of a translation is to communicate the MEANING of the text, not some one-to-one word correlation of signs. Because language is fluid and can grasp meaning using a variety of words, a multiplicity of translations, each for its own time and context, is helpful.

h.gual God always uses ordinary people to do extraordinary things for him ..Now first of all God uses talents that you already have. Now Virginia Mollencott was on the NIV Translation committee A wicked Homo lesbian devoid of understanding the scriptures..Dr. Virginia Mollenkott, a literary critic on the NIV translation is an open homosexual. In the Episcopal magazine, Witness (June 1991, pp. 20-23), she admits,
“My homosexuality has always been a part of me…”
So thats just[ one] of the Bibles we know thats not right.. only the AV1611 of course use anything else and your off course..Now lets get to the King James translators used by God on his God breathed word…Question: Who were the translators of the King James Bible? Answer: God brought together over 54 of the finest Bible translators English has ever known, to translate the King James Bible. A Few Short Examples..John Harman, M.A., New College, Oxford.
In 1585 he had been appointed King’s Professor of Greek. He had published Latin translations of Calvin’s and Beza’s sermons, and was also adept in Greek. He was a member of the New Testament group that met at Oxford.
    John Spencer
At 19 years of age he had been elected Greek lecturer for Corpus Christi College in Oxford University. It was written of him, “Of his eminent scholarship there can be no question.” He was a member of the New Testament group (Romans through Jude) that met at Westminster.
    Thomas Bilson
McClure wrote that he was “so complete in divinity, so well skilled in languages, so read in the Fathers and Schoolmen, so judicious in making use of his readings, that at length he was found to be no longer a soldier, but commander in chief in the spiritual warfare”
Surely reason would tell us that every version that has been printed cannot be God’s Word! Many of the so-called versions are not translations at all, but merely personal interpretations, and even the plain meaning of simple versions are obscured and mutilated to the extent that they often mean just the opposite of the intended Word of God. As said before: language is the expression of thought, and to know what God transmits from His mind to ours, we have to know what God’s Word really is. Much derision and scorn is heaped upon those who hold in high esteem the work of the King James translators. One group, made up of mostly younger men who are fairly recent graduates of Bible Colleges or Seminaries, even use the term, “The King Jimmy Bible”, which ought to tell us something of the lack of concern over which Bible is, indeed, the very Word of God!

By the way… like you, I don’t believe in modern “apostles.” High five! I guess you share something in common with a squirrel after all.

  9. h.gual says:

So they were just normal guys, like the translators of all Bible translations?

  10. h.gual says:

    Were the KJV translators apostles?
