This post is about the leaky water testimony of a Oneness Pentecostal friend of mine who is depending on his water baptism in Jesus name and speaking in unknown tongues to give him eternal life. Before I give his testimony I will give you mine so you can see the contrast between the two.
I (Ray McIntire) am saved from the eternal consequences of sin; which is hell; by grace through faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ the Son of God on the cross of Calvary; furthermore I beleive Jesus Christ died, was buried, and arose from the dead according to the Scriptures. And I am eternally secure according to the promise of God. That is it, I have nothing else but Jesus Christ and what he did on the cross as a payment for my sins; past, present, and future.
My friend has a totally different outlook. He thinks he is saved because he believes on a “Jesus” that is not part of the Godhead, but rather his “Jesus” is just one of three manifestations of God. Then after believing on this other “Jesus” he believes he is required to be baptized in this Jesus’ name in order to obtain eternal life. Then he either has to speak in tongues before or right after his baptism in order to seal the transaction that leads to eternal life.
When I questioned my friend about his baptism he became easily confused. When I asked him who baptized him, he drew a blank for some time, trying to decide if he should testify about the first time or the second time that he was baptized in Jesus name. Next I asked him if he was baptized in “the name of Jesus”, “the name of Jesus Christ”, “the name of the Lord Jesus”, or “the name of the Lord Jesus Christ”. HE DID NOT KNOW! You would think if one’s eternity hung on a water baptism formula that he would be able to immediately know who did the baptism that gave eternal life, and how the word Jesus was used in that formula. Or at least be able to quote Acts 2:38 word for word so you would know it was done correctly according to eternal standards. Next, since he could not properly defend his own salvation by his own standards he decided to assure me his wife was saved according to the Oneness standards. But when I questioned him about his precious wife, he could not even be sure the correct formula was used beyond a shadow of a doubt. Next timethese Oneness people apply their water salvation, they need to record it so they can have a sure testimony. But we born again Christians have a more sure word of prophecy, the AV1611 Holy Bible!

The word “frame” in the second line means “scheme”. And all this Oneness/Jesus Only stuff is nothing but a scheme of the devil born in hell itself.
