First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world. Rom. 1:8
Let’s do a word check on faith. Get out your concordance and see how many times the word “faith is mentioned in the Old Testament. You should come up with about two times, once in Deut. 32:20 and once again in Hab. 2:4. About this time the naysayers are beginning to shout!, what about the faith of Noah and Abel? What about it?; their “faith” was not mentioned in the Old Testament as such; but in the New Testament; in the Book of Hebrews chapter 11.
There is an important lesson to be learned in the above paragraph. We are to live by every word of God, and we are not to add to it lest we be found a liar. Do you see how easy it is to deceive ourselves when we assume anything concerning the oracles of God without doing a fact check with the Holy Bible (AV1611 of course)?
The word “faith” appears more almost 300 times in the New Testament and we should take note of “why”. Faith is spoken of regularly in the New Testament because we are saved by grace through “faith” in the blood atonement of Jesus Christ in the New Testament. In the Old Testament faith was only mentioned twice and men were saved by faith and works.
Many preachers and those professing to be Christians, play their cards close to their chest. So close in fact, that it can take years and much coaxing to get them to come clean on what they actually believe concerning eternal salvation, security of the believer, being born again, Jesus’ substitutionary death, imputed righteousness, which Bible and other fundamentals of Christianity. Then if you watch them long enough while they are coming clean you find they had a dirty Ace up their sleeve the whole time they were lying to you; and they didn’t believe a word they seemed to have said and definitely not a word that you said.
Let me be very, very clear with all my cards on God’s eternal table concerning faith or hope in anything other than the blood atonement of Jesus Christ on Calvary where your eternity is concerned. If you trust anything “other” than Jesus Christ you will go to Hell. If you trust Jesus Christ “plus” your baptism, sprinkling, Bible knowledge, preacher, celebrity Christian, your church, Pope, or anything else you will split Hell wide open. IF you trust only the Son of God, the Jesus Christ of the AV1611 Holy Bible for salvation you will go to Heaven! Amen? AMEN!!!!!!
Feel all better now?
Does it not instruct us to mathematically DIVIDE the word? is your question.
What in the name of Benny Hinn and Earnest Angley are you talking about, I simply counted the number of times a word was listed in the Old and New Testaments. Just a rough estimate. Let’s not get carried away with numerology.
