Part 1 – Oneness (Jesus Only) Pentecostals Why I Cannot Join Them

United Pentecostal Churches (UPC) and the Jesus only Charismatics will both benefit by knowing “Why I Cannot Join Them”!  I cannot join them because I read and believe the AV1611 Bible, and form my beliefs from the AV1611 Scriptures, line upon line and precept upon precept.  Oneness Pentecostals like other cults “wrest the scriptures to their own destruction”, and “preach another Jesus” and “another gospel” and “receive another spirit”, of which the Apostle Paul warned.

The Oneness Pentecostals based on their twisted water gospel have no more hope of eternal life than a Jehovah’s Witness.  When the candidate for Pentecostalism gets baptized in Jesus name they do not get saved nor do they receive the Holy Ghost as a result of their baptism. The purpose of this post is not to hurt the feelings of anyone, but rather it is simply a rebuke concerning false soul damning doctrine, and the heretics who teach it, thus I hope  that many in the Oneness community may “recover themselves out of the snare of the devil”.

Oneness Pentecostals suffer from a chronic spiritual disease called unbelief.  The first symptoms of this disease are “itching ears”.  In the process of “heaping to themselves teachers” they are led away from the truth and therefore cannot “endure sound doctrine”.  Most Pentecostals of any brand have already clicked off this post by now in a self-righteous fit.  Jesus Only Pentecostals “are in all things too superstitious” and rarely come to knowledge of the truth.  These poor lost souls are as blind as a Roman Catholic Pope to the truths of holy scriptures.  Oneness Pentecostals talk about faith, but prefer pure emotion and “the traditions of men” for doctrine, rather than the words of God found in the Holy Bible (AV1611)

This post will not address the tongues movement in Part 1.  We will though take a look at the baptism in Jesus name heresy as well as the Oneness Pentecostals denial of the Godhead.

The Jesus Only heresy is a result of not believing what the Bible says about the Godhead.  The first thing out of the Oneness Pentecostal’s mouth is, “The word trinity is not in the Bible”.  Yes, that is true the word TRINITY  is not in the Bible per say, but the concept of God in three persons is defined in the word Godhead.  This  one verse should wipe out any doubt about the attributes of God.

For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.  1 John 5:7

The Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are not merely three offices or manifestations, but they are actually three persons by which the Godhead exists.  The Jesus Only crowd is so eager to believe error that they have no problem twisting the above scripture to match Pentecostal tradition.  So . Lets look at it together, closely now!  It is time to pull out the 1828 Noah Webster Dictionary to find out what the key words in this verse really mean because it seems the Pentecostals have vocabulary problems as well as a spiritual discernment problems.  Consider this,  the Apostle Paul, said the scripture was good for reproof and instruction in righteousness. Right?  And also able to throughly furnish the man of God unto all good works. Right?

Here are the definitions to three little words that the Pentecostal gets hung up on.

THREE, 1. two and one.

ONE, 8. Single by union; undivided; the same.  The church is therefore one, though the members may be many.

ARE, substantive verb; to be, to exist;

When we look at the verse and insert the,” word meanings”, for the words these, three, one, and are it would read something like this.  these (plural) three ( 1+2 ) are (plural) one (single by union).  You will notice that scripture uses the plural verb are and is pointing to the single by union/undivided definition of the word one.  We should always make our doctrine fit the words of God, instead of making the words of God fit “tradition of men”.

Now as for the baptism in Jesus name heresy I have a few things to say now, and will examine this practice later (Part 2) by expounding on the testimony of a Oneness Pentecostal.  The Oneness Cult hangs their eternity on verses like Acts 2:38 and many who do so,  cannot even quote it in its entirety let alone in its context!  Until Acts 2:38 there were no saved people who get saved like you and I and the eunuch of Ethiopia in Acts Chapter 8 have to be saved, thus believing in the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. In Acts 2:38 Peter was trying to get unrepentant Jews to back up and recognize the Baptism of John who ushered in the coming Messiah (Jesus).  Read Acts 2 in its context.  Acts is primarily a history book of the Acts of the Apostles, not a doctrinal book per say.  Go to Romans to learn about Christian doctrine, and to  learn how to get saved.

Look at Part 2, on this dangerous CULT that passes itself off as mainstream Christianity!

Or at the very least, some are as the scripture warns, “spoiled through vain deceit”. I hope.

Dear John Miller: Acts has some doctrinal statements in it, sure, but it is primarily a transitional book from the Jewish religion to the Church age. Stay tuned to this blog and we will start with Acts chapter 2:1 and proceed to pull the plug on the Pentecostal’s , Roman Catholics, Campbellites, and Protestants who substitute water for the precious blood of God. We will take a Biblical look at the Acts of the Apostles and reroute the creek of heresy so you and multitudes won’t continue to fall in. I’ve posted Parts 2 and 3 Pentecostals – Why I Cannot Join Them to get you started while I prepare the Acts Chapter 2 posts and others. Thanks for reading and God Bless you through Jesus Christ the Son of the Father.

Dear John Miller: How do you apply Lev. 11:23 to your daily Christian walk?

But all other flying creeping things, which have four feet, shall be an abomination to you. Lev. 11:23

Would you like some more scripture references? Bro. Ray

    Dear John Miller:

I found your responses to this post to be spirited. Thank you. Most Pentecostals and Charismatics when confronted with the Biblical error of their false doctrines just curl up in a fetal position (spiritually speaking of course). I admire your zeal for God, though it is not according to knowledge. (AV 1611) Please check back with Ezekiel3 for a thorough teaching on Acts Chapter 2. COMING SOON!

  17. John says:

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God” John 1:1 NIV
Ive also noted in your blog that you consider certain parts of the Bible
inapplicable to the moderen christian..However mentioned above is a verse which
conflics with you analogy that certain parts of the Bible are just “History” such as the greatest book to moderen christians “Acts”. It is only in this book tthat we see a promise kept in which we wont be left alone. I dont know about
Ray, but this gives me peace.

  18. John says:

Another thing has come to mind. Have you ever felt the experience of being filled with the gifts.. Have you ever been called to receive such devine gifts.. If not, consider this… Align you spiritual life in a manner ready to receive these gifts and maybe you wont preach the same way.

    “Great forgiveness for all”

  19. John says:

    Ray,
This seems to be a smear of moderen churches. Another attempt to disrupt christain worship.
The Bible clearly states in Acts that speaking in tongues is a gift from Jesus
to communicate with Jesus and Jesus to us. You said in your blog to read chapter 2 in context, but doesnt verses 38 and 39 say “The promise (gifts of the spirit) is for you and your children and for all who are far off, for all whom the Lord or God will call”. Ive noted in your blog that you are bitter toward christian worship. Ray.. You need to evaluate if this blog is really helping people (the moderen church) or just edifying yourself. Forgiveness is for everone… Even you Ray. Thanks.
