Jed Smock – Bro. Cope – IN THEIR OWN WORDS

TWO OLD HERETICS – REVEAL THEMSELVES

Noah Webster Dictionary – old, 12. In vulgar language, crafty; cunning.

In the name of our beloved Saviour Jesus Christ, these two men claiming to be God sent ministers; Jed Smock and Bro. Cope; have become regulars on college campuses across America, spreading a false gospel; the heresy of salvation  by works.   Recently Bro. Larry McCune rebuked both in a YouTube movie which provoked Jed Smock to respond.  I have extracted some comments from Smock and Cope that followed in a string regarding Smock’s response. So here we have it, heresy, in their own words.  I will set apart my comments and scripture in purple as I attempt to get these two old reprobates in line with the words of God (AV1611 of course).

  • Bro Cope What is going to be really funny on the day of judgment is when the Lord tells McIntire that he is the one who has been trusting in a works based salvation.  He has not a clue what the phrase “works based salvation” is even referring to.
Rom. 3:27  Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.
It is short for a salvation that is based not upon righteous behavior, which God requires of men, but is based on the belief that their righteousness is obtained by the work of the law in the sacrifice.  McIntire, I am afraid you will not make it.
It is invariably the ones who decry works based salvations that are trusting in them.
Gal. 2:16  Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Jesus Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.  But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin?  God forbid.
True salvation requires righteous behavior, and makes use of the redemptive act of Jesus once.  Any one who continues to sin, and then tries to go back for more forgiveness over and over, are trusting that Jesus sacrifice did not free them from the sin, but freed them from the law.
1 John 1:8-10  If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.  If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.  If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
There is no comparison between what Jesus did, and what the Jews saw as their salvation.  The Jews trusted in the animal sacrifice to impute righteousness to them, and in so doing to free them of the necessity of living righteously.
The Lord told me it was the doctrine of “imputed righteousness” that caused Him to be nailed to the cross.  His death was the end of the law for righteousness.
Let us look and see what the Bible says (AV1611 of course).  Rom. 4:6-8  Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works.  Saying , Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.  Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.
McIntire, anyone who uses the symbol “AV1611” cannot possibly know Jesus.  What you are trusting in when you even use that phrase is the lie of Satan that says that we are justified by what we know.
Ok, Cope, which is it, a phrase or a symbol?   Obviously it is an abbreviation for Authorized Version 1611.  That’s right God’s authorized version of his words for the English speaking people.
Was that not what Satan deceived man into believing – that it is what we know that makes us like God?  Anyone who places their trust in any other source  is trusting in the lie of Satan that we are made like God by the acquisition of the knowledge of good and evil.
Cope, Cope, Cope you know not at what makes you stumble my friend.
Jesus said we are to live by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.  Surprise, surprise, McIntire, God speaks very good English, modern English, not medieval English, when He speaks to me.
When Jesus made the statement that you are quoting, he was speaking of the Old Testament that he read from, and the New Testament that the Holy Ghost would give through his apostles.  He was not talking about your wicked imagination, when you deceive your self into  believing that Jesus comes to you about his problems and troubles and asks advice of you privately.  That is your claim to fame, is it not?
I think it is you, McIntire who has perverted the Gospel, not Jed.

    • Jed Smock It does seem at though these men have exalted the AV 1611 above the Living Word, our Lord Jesus Christ (John 1).
Yes, Jed we have exalted the words of God above his name as he recommends.  Psalm 138:2  …for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
Jed Smock Unfortunately, with their interpretation, they eliminate much of the NT writings.
Jed, old boy, would you like to tell everyone just what New Testament writings we have eliminated by reading and believing the AV1611?

About Bro. Ray McIntire

EZEKIEL 3 is extremely salty and has not lost any savor found in the AV1611 Holy Bible. If you are looking for compromise, this site is not for you! This site's objective is to exalt the Lord Jesus Christ and to destroy false doctrines and expose false teachers. EZEKIEL3 makes no apologies to anyone who opposes the Gospel of Jesus Christ, "Christian" or otherwise. Deal with it!
